An Artists Statement

Isobel Delgado Walton is a multi disciplinary artist exploring intersectionality and the black identity  primarily through Oil painting, oil pastel, and collage. Her practice moves from the intimacy of small scale watercolors to public scale mural installations. Isobel’s work is centered around the complexities of black interiority, spirituality and societal systems. Her work often depicts colorful figures and archival imagery engaging in themes of ancestry and resilience. Isobel has been featured at the InterUrban ArtHouse and worked as a contributing artist for a permanent collection of the Kansas City Museum. Her Mural work has been featured at the Unity Temple as well as private businesses in the Kansas City metro area. Based in Kansas City, Missouri she continues to develop her first complete art series.
